About The Author

Paul W. Taylor is the Chief Strategy Officer at the Center for Digital Government and the back page columnist for both Government Technology and Public CIO magazines.  He came to the Center from the State of Washington, where he served as Deputy Director of the Department of Information Services (DIS) and the Chief of Staff for the Information Services.  He is also affiliated with the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF), a non-partisan think tank based in Washington, DC.

Taking a page from the late Tim Russert, his blogging breaks the rules for attracting huge numbers of eyeballs -- going light on cynicism because he actually likes the people he covers and believes in public service as a calling just below the priesthood.
